REVIEW
This week, we explored the First Christmas Present through the lens of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds. We examined the gritty reality of Jesus’ birth, stripped of romanticized imagery. Mary faced an unexpected pregnancy, Joseph endured social stigma, and both navigated overwhelming circumstances. Yet, their faith in God’s presence outweighed their broken plans.
Hearing the angelic announcement, the shepherds sought out the baby in a manger—a scene that defied all expectations of a royal Savior. The message of the First Christmas is clear: God often shows up in ways we don’t anticipate.
This can be difficult because we want to know the plan for our lives, relationships, careers, etc. The first Christmas shows us that we must seek God's presence more than our plans! Trusting His presence over our plans allows us to experience His peace, even amid life's most difficult circumstances.
